Tips For Caring for Your False Teeth

May 31st, 2006 by admin

Caring for your False teeth is just as important as caring for your natural teeth. Unfortunately cleaning false teeth isn’t as easy as natural teeth. There are several steps to take when taking care of false teeth.

After taking out your false teeth, the first thing you should do is use warm water to wash away the visible food particles. The correct water temperature is critical because water that is too hot may cause false teeth to warp. During this step it is wise to fill the sink with water first so as not to break the false teeth.

The next step in caring for false teeth is to use denture cleaning paste. You can apply this paste with a soft-bristled toothbrush or a denture specific toothbrush. Regular toothpaste and hard-bristled toothbrushes should not be used because they can cause damage to false teeth. After all surfaces of the false teeth have been scrubbed, be sure to rinse with warm water thoroughly.

You’re not done yet! After you are done cleaning your false teeth, let them soak in a denture cleanser overnight. This will give them that added clean feel. You don’t want to put anything in your mouth that isn’t sanitary and free of germs/bacteria.

Just because you have false teeth doesn’t mean you get to throw away your regular toothpaste. There is more in your mouth to clean then just teeth. Make sure you brush your tongue and gums with a soft-bristled toothbrush. This will get rid of any plaque on these surfaces and will prevent gum disease and bad breath. It also stimulates the gums and creates effective blood flow and circulation.

Having false teeth doesn’t rid you of proper oral hygiene responsibilities. If anything, it makes your hygiene responsibilities more numerous. You should treat your false teeth just like they were your natural teeth. They need to be thoroughly brushed and rinsed daily. Make sure to keep the rest of your mouth clean as well. You don’t want any more oral problems. Caring for false teeth is very important to denture wearers.

Anxiety Depression - the two are related

May 31st, 2006 by admin

probably the most basic of all emotions. Their target is not a specific age group rather everybody comes in their trap very often.

Anxiety, if read as AN-X-IETY will refer to the emotion of the X-day. It is not only found in humans but also experienced by all species of animals and birds. It is thought to be a normal occurrence but might become a disorder. A certain amount of anxiety is experienced daily. Its intensity might vary from situation to situation.

Now and then you must have come across people saying ‘I am depressed today’. Depression is
Something difficult to snap yourself out from. Scientifically speaking, it is caused by an imbalance of the brain chemicals. But practically the disorder finds its origin and end in the thoughts and incidents pasteurized and reflected upon by the brain. It gradually impairs one from the normal functioning of the mind, body, and emotions.

The disorder of many: how and why it happens?
The glaring headlines are proof enough to support the 18.8 million people in America who suffer from depression and anxiety. Depression is not an individual’s play. It tends to affect the ones who care for the depressed. Serious depression and anxiety can destroy the person’s family life and his own life. Anxiety may be because of the circumstances in the past having current influence or with the present situations being weird or because of the horrifying and terrifying imaginations of the future.

Causes of depression-
Depression can be inherited from a family member. It has been noted that serious depression can flow form generation. Apart from that major depression problems are because of the Mal-functioning and the mal-structure of the brain. Keeping this in mind, we should not forget that ‘according to a survey in America a person who has never not experienced these two emotions is abnormal’. Strange but, True.

You might at times feel like crying, moaning and a lot frustrated. You feel like running away from the situation, well you just entered the depression world. The way to face it is to ‘Fight it out’. Staying with people optimistic people can change your outlook.

Anxiety, depression, stress, frustration-seem big problems? But the truth is that they are only big words in ones dictionary, which have to occur. They have to be read. But then not to forget that there are other words like solution, strong, positive, fight and so on. All to conclude is that medicines might heel but time is the best healer.
